Jessica Marie Alba, an American actress and
businesswoman. Her first TV and movie appearances at the age of 13 old in Camp
Nowhere (94), after which she became a star at the age of 19 when she was cast
in the lead role on the television series Dark Angel (2000 - 2002), for which
she was nominated as a Golden Globe nominee. Honey (2003) was her big screen
debut. She soon became a Hollywood actor and has appeared in many hits in box

Marie Alba was born in Pomona, California, on April 28, 1981, to Catherine
Louisa (nee Jensen) and Mark David Alba. Her mother is from Danish and Welsh
heritage, and has German, English, French, German, English, French, and German
ancestry. Her maternal grandparents, born in California, are Mexican
immigrants. Joshua is her younger brother. Gustavo Arellano, who is also her
third cousin, was once again her father's Air Force pilot. The father of her
Air Force career took the family to Biloxi, Mississippi, and Del Rio, Texas,
before settling back in Claremont, California, when she was nine years old.
Alba said that her family was "very conservative" - a traditional
Catholic, Latin American, Catholic family. She is also described as a liberal.
When she was five, she claimed she was feminist.
