Abigail Marie Clancy (born 10 January, 1986) is an English lingerie and catwalk model, and television model and TV. She finished second in Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2). In 2006, she also was the winner of series 11 on Strictly Come Dancing. Since 2015, she is Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born on July 7th 1965 in Liverpool. She is the fourth of four kids of Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. She was raised in Woolton close to Liverpool and was a student at St Mary's Primary school and St Julie's Catholic High. Clancy formed the girl group Genie Queen with Andy McCluskey of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was one of the 13 finalists on Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model, which included her competing for 10 weeks to win a contract as a model. Clancy made it to the runway show with another contestant Lianna Fowler. She eventually became the runner up. Clancy became a model after appearing on Britain’s Next Top Model. Clancy, who modeled the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike for Arena magazine's cover in May 2007, was photographed by Clancy. Clancy was selected to be featured in Sports Illustrated magazine in the 2010 edition of the swimsuit. Clancy was selected for her sporting connection to Peter Crouch. Clancy was photographed in body paint for the magazine, to appear as if she was wearing the England shirt. Yu Tsai shot the photographs. Clancy was included as a model for Umbro sportswear's 2010 campaign. Clancy was a model in the Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear collection Giles Spring 2011 collection.In March 2011 Clancy was featured on the Elite Model Management: New York division website. In July 2013, she was part of London designer Hasan Hejazi’s campaign. The campaign featured a fashion editorial by Absynth Photographic and a fashion movie produced by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also photographed for the August 2011 UK Esquire magazine cover by Solve Sundsbo. In December 2013 Clancy was included in LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar alongside Suki Waterhouse and Cara Delevingne. Clancy was featured on the cover of British Marie Claire in July 2014 and British Elle in March 2015. Abbey Clancy, along with her daughter Sophia Crouch, collaborated in October of 2019 with Lipsy, a London-based fashion brand, to launch their AW'19 line. In January 2020 the collection for AW19 was officially launched in the UAE.
